Innerpeffray, Perthshire

The Innerpeffray Library was the first free public lending library in Britain, founded in 1691 by David Drummond, third Lord Maddertie. Ruth Wallis gave an illustrated account of this library in BSHM Newsletter 33 (Spring 1997) 35-37.
