Largs, Ayrshire
Mathematical Gazetteer of the British Isles
A seaside town 30 miles west of Glasgow, is where William Thomson (1824-1907), Baron Kelvin of Largs, built a castle-like mansion, Netherhall, in 1875. It cost 12,000 pounds. His full title was Baron Kelvin of Largs. [1]
