Longleat House, Warminster, is the home of the Marquis of Bath and was where Greg Bright built Britain's first three-dimensional maze in 1978. It is the world's largest permanent hedge maze. [1]; [2] In 1992, the Marquis added a Maze of Love, and in 1996, he had Randall Coate design a maze and a labyrinth (i.e. a unicursal maze) based on the Daedalus legend, including considerable erotic symbolism of Pasiphae and the bull! In 1998(?) Adrian Fisher designed and installed a fine mirror maze.
