Carl de Boor

Carl de Boor is German born mathematician who has worked for most of his career in the United States. He has made remarkable contributions to the theory of splines and has won the John von Neumann Lecture Prize from the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics in 1996 and National Medal of Science in 2003.
