As suggested at the previous meeting, it was agreed to alter the second sentence of rule 2, so that it would read:

"Any ordinary member may compound for his annual subscriptions by the payment of five guineas, subject to a reduction of one guinea for each period of ten year's membership."

This was done to prevent members outside the United Kingdom from paying less for their life subscriptions than members within.
