Upton-upon-Severn, Worcestershire

Mathematical Gazetteer of the British Isles

John Dee held the living (rectorship) of Upton upon Severn, from 1553 until 1583 when it was forfeited due to his not attending to legalities on his departure from England for six years [1]. Some sources say he lived here, but this is not clear from other sources. He also held the living of Long Leadenham in Lincolnshire.
