The Alfréd Renyi prize
The Rényi Prize was established by the Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics in 1972 in honour of Alfréd Rényi, the founder and first director of the Institute. The Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics is a research centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences dedicated to advancing mathematics in both theoretical and applied fields. The Rényi prize is aimed at acknowledging outstanding results of the Institute's researchers in the last 5 years.
