Mathematicians Of The Day

29th September

On this day in 1801, Gauss's Disquisitiones Arithmeticae was published. Gauss was only 24 years old at that time and had written it when he was 21.

The postage stamp of one of today's mathematicians at THIS LINK was issued in 2001.
